Looks: Bit Loafers & Black Tie

Summer wedding season is coming to an end and the fall wedding and event season is fast approaching.  That said, black tie events may very well be in your future.  Don’t be alarmed when an invitation reads ‘Black Tie’.  We realize that sometimes it can cause panic and anxiety.  In reality it is an easy dress code to adhere to.  In the most simple sense, all you need is a tuxedo (preferably that you own, not that you rent), a white dress shirt, cufflinks, suspenders (throw in a dash of color here), a black bow tie and cummerbund, a pocket square and a pair of black shoes.

You could opt for the classic black cap toe if want want a more conservative look or a black velvet slipper if you want something a little more natty.  If you want to land yourself somewhere in between, the Millbank bit loafer may be an ideal option for you.  Classic, refined and formal, it can also do double duty. It works as well with a tuxedo as it does with jeans.
