Looks: Tweed & Turtlenecks

Posted on March 02 2017

With the end of winter in sight, there is still time to get some last wears out of some of the best pieces that can carry themselves both in winter and the early part of the spring.  As an example, we combined a tweed jacket, a turtleneck, and a pair of caramel penny loafers to create a seasonally appropriate ensemble. Our caramel colored loafers are as easy to style as their more common, dark brown counterparts. Because of the warmer and lighter undertones in caramel, it can be paired with a wider range of colors. To complement the loafers, we chose a tweed jacket made of a brown, cream and blue Glen Plaid fabric. To provide a bridge between the jacket and loafers, we opted for a pair of olive green wool flannel trousers in a tone of green that compliments both the jacket and penny loafers. The final piece of the look is a cream turtleneck that is lightweight enough for a spring day, but warm enough for a chilly evening. The end result is a textured look that can be worn to a less formal office, a lunch date, or an evening out.
Cheers,
The Jay Butler Team

This outfit is really fantastic. The trouser color is spot on, the blue in the jacket shows an attention to detail, and the turtleneck is a great bridging piece.

    Great outfit!
